 Picus and Associates Reports

The General Assembly created the Joint Committee on Educational Adequacy during the 2003 regular legislative session, and charged it with conducting an adequacy study. The committee hired school funding experts Lawrence O. Picus and Associates, which spent four months reviewing Arkansas school finance and adequacy issues and presented its final recommendations September 1, 2003. In 2005 the Adequacy Study Oversight Subcommittee again hired Lawrence O. Picus and Associates to reassess the foundation funding level. That report was finalized in 2006.
